Safe Sport Policies

The Safe Sport Act was passed in Canada to insure abuse-free sport.

The Safe Sport program has been adopted by all nordic clubs that are part of Nordiq Canada and by almost every sports club in Canada.

Kelowna Nordic has passed a resolution adopting the Safe Sport policies as documented by Nordiq Canada starting the 2024-2025 season.​

"Abuse-Free Sport is an independent program that is part of a growing national movement to rid Canadian sport of all forms of harassment, discrimination, and abuse. It aims to prevent maltreatment at all levels of sport across Canada through education, training, and research."
